Meet the Wizard Agent: AI Agent for Partner Operations
Most AI in PRM only reads. The Wizard Agent acts. See how Magentrix's built-in Wizard Assistant and Wizard Agent, plus an open MCP endpoint, let AI answer and take action on your partner data, with authorization enforced at the data layer, not bolted onto a gateway.

Most AI in PRM only reads. Partner operations need AI that acts.
Ask around the partner-management market right now and every vendor has an AI story. Look closely and most of it is the same thing: a chatbot that reads your knowledge base and answers questions. Useful, but it does not touch the work. Your team is still the one registering the deal, updating the record, chasing the status, and keeping the CRM clean.
The shift underway is from AI that answers to AI that acts. In partner operations that means an agent that can complete a task end to end, safely, on live data. That is what we built the Wizard Agent to do, and it is live in Magentrix today.
The Wizard Assistant: answers grounded in your world
Start with the part every buyer expects, done well. The Wizard Assistant is a conversational assistant that answers partner and team questions in natural language, grounded in your own content: articles, wiki pages, and Document Library files, including PDFs, Office documents, spreadsheets, HTML, email, and even audio and video such as YouTube and Vimeo. It cites its sources, keeps conversation history, and accepts file uploads and voice input.
The detail that matters is not the chat window. It is that every answer respects your existing security roles and sharing rules. A partner only ever sees answers drawn from content they are already allowed to access. The same intelligence powers semantic search across your portal and AI ticket deflection, which surfaces the right article before a partner opens a support case.
The Wizard Agent: from answering to doing
The Wizard Agent is where it stops being a chatbot. On a user's instruction, and within that user's existing permissions, it can create, update, and delete records on their behalf. Instead of a partner learning your forms, they describe what they need and the agent does the work in the portal.
Because it operates as the user, not as an all-powerful service account, it can only ever do what that person is already allowed to do. There is no separate permission model to keep in sync and no back door. The agent inherits the guardrails your platform already enforces.
Open to your AI stack, through the Model Context Protocol
Your partners and your team will not standardize on one AI assistant, so Magentrix does not force them to. You can expose your portal's endpoint over the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), so external AI assistants can connect and work with your partner data directly.
Connections use OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration. Once connected, an assistant can query records and, when you allow it, create, update, and delete them, with each action controlled independently. Access tokens are bound to the signed-in user's role, so the connected tool can do only what that user is permitted to do. Users approve access through a consent screen, and administrators can revoke a client at any time, which immediately invalidates its tokens.
The part most AI stories skip: where the authorization lives
A clean AI front door is easy to demo and easy to get wrong. The hard question is not whether an agent can reach your data. It is whether your system can stop it from doing something the user should not. If authorization is written by hand in an integration layer or an API gateway, every new tool and every new action is a fresh chance to leak partner data to the wrong partner.
Magentrix enforces authorization at the data layer. Field-level security, record-level sharing, and role permissions are properties of the platform itself, so they apply to a screen, an API call, and an AI agent the same way. That is why opening the platform to AI does not mean loosening it. The governance was already there; the agent simply inherits it. When you evaluate any agentic PRM, that is the question to ask: is authorization enforced in the data layer, or bolted onto the gateway in front of it.
What this looks like in a partner program
- A reseller asks, in plain language, which of their registered deals are approaching expiry, and the agent returns the list from live CRM data they are cleared to see.
- A partner manager tells their own AI assistant, connected over MCP, to update the stage on a set of partner-sourced opportunities, and it happens under their permissions, logged and reversible.
- A new partner asks how to submit an MDF request, gets a cited answer from your own enablement content, and completes the request in the same conversation.
None of this requires a rip-and-replace or a services engagement. It is configuration on a platform that mirrors your CRM and was built to be extended.
Built for the agentic era, not retrofitted for it
The reason this works is the foundation underneath it. Magentrix is an open, API-first PRM with a full read-write REST API and a real data model, mirrored to your CRM. The Wizard Agent and the MCP endpoint are not a bolt-on; they are what an open platform makes possible. As AI agents become part of how partner teams work, the platforms that win will be the ones an agent can act on safely. That is the platform we have been building for over a decade, and the Wizard Agent is the clearest proof of it yet.

What is the difference between the Wizard Assistant and the Wizard Agent?
The Wizard Assistant answers questions in natural language, grounded in your content and CRM data. The Wizard Agent goes further and takes action, creating, updating, and deleting records on the user's behalf, within that user's existing permissions.
Does the Wizard Agent respect our security and sharing rules?
Yes. Every AI response and action respects your existing security roles and sharing rules. The agent acts as the signed-in user, so it can only do what that user is already permitted to do.
Can we connect our own AI assistant, like Claude or ChatGPT?
Yes. Magentrix can expose your portal over the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) using OAuth 2.1, so external AI assistants can query and, when allowed, create, update, and delete records, with access bound to the user's role and revocable at any time.
Do we need developers to use it?
No. The AI tools are configured by administrators, and the assistant and agent work through natural language. The underlying platform is no-code out of the box, with a developer console when you want to extend it.
